The Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization. It is the initiative of the National African Canadian Association (NACA), which was created to serve one of the five tenets of the NACA which is Commerce and Economic development within the Black diaspora.
We are a distinctive platform that promotes Black Business excellence through cultural and social dimension. We create effective business support and partnerships for our members that contribute economic prosperity for the Black diaspora and Canada.
We are committed to forming alliances and broad-based coalitions that represents the economic interests of Black businesses, allied businesses, corporations, professionals, and students of business for the purpose of promoting economic growth and prosperity, through public and private sector advocacy and engagement and to advance the common business interests and opportunities of its members and stakeholders.
The CBCC will continually interconnect with over 100 Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade locally and globally. We have the capability to network with over 100,000 Black owned businesses. There are over 2 million Black owned businesses to which we are able to network with locally and globally. In accordance with the US Bureau of Census, Black businesses account for over $140 billion in revenue in 2016 in the United States. Our alliance and relationships allows the CBBC to be involved and be informed about Policies that affect the Black Diaspora.
Commerce and Business is the engine of economic growth for any developed or developing nation. There are more than two million small businesses in Canada. In Canada, Small business accounts for 95% of all businesses. Small businesses employ approximately 60% of the private sector workforce and contribute over half of the nation's private gross domestic product. We are continuing to develop partnerships that connect private enterprise, government, higher education and local nonprofit economic development organizations so that the Black Diaspora can increase its Contribution to the Canadian economy.
The Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce offers marketing and business services to Black Canadian and Canadian companies that wish to expand their businesses in Canada, the Caribbean and Africa. We also offer promotional services such as trade events and delegations aimed at increasing the opportunities for new contacts and business agreements. Our Marketing and business services are provided to our members to ensure a better understanding and a deeper knowledge of the domestic and Internationals markets. Our assistance aims at finding foreign partners, providing valuable contacts and thorough information on business and trade related issues.
