The Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce Business Development Center (CBCC- BDC) Greater Toronto area office is here to help you answer those questions and many more! The CBCC-BDC Regional Office provides free and confidential business assistance to prospective and existing business entrepreneurs in the Greater Toronto area
Services are delivered by a skilled professional staff with extensive business experience and educational backgrounds. The work of our staff is augmented by college and university faculty, qualified student interns and private consultants. Our mission is to support the success and growth of Black and African-Canadian businesses in Canada. We tailor our services to the needs of individual clients. We respect your privacy — all client conversations are strictly confidential. We are committed to helping your business succeed locally and globally.
Training
We provide training assistance to a plethora of individuals. Training topics include business plan basics, social media and marketing, tax planning, cash flow, financial reports, to name a few. We also offer an annual women business owners’ conference. In addition to industry experts, seminar speakers are entrepreneurs with real-life experience with the same issues facing your business. Our training programs are cosponsored with chambers of commerce, banks, local colleges and universities, community development organizations and trade association.
Financing
Having sufficient financial resources to support your business could mean the difference between the success and failure of your business. The CBCC- BDC Office can help you negotiate the financial challenges faced by startup, existing and expanding businesses. We assist our clients to secure thousands of dollars to multi-million dollar loans and investments opportunities. Our office works closely with banks and other lending organizations both conventional and non- conventional sources to assist in putting together financial projections. We can assist with assembling financial statements, preparing loan applications and securing the best financing options for your business.
Exporting & Importing
Have you thought about exporting or importing your product or service to and from other countries? Would you like to sell to the Provincial, State and federal governments? The CBCC-BDC Office’s services can connect you with business advisors from these specialty centers.
