Entrepreneurship Training & Skills Development
We will inspire Black Canadian entrepreneurs to pursue ventures in the commercial, manufacturing and service industries. We are committed to helping Black businesses achieve growth through entrepreneur and business management training. We provide educational opportunities and professional development resources that help our members manage and grow their business.
Professional Workforce
The CBCC will continue to inspire Black Canadians to pursue education at the highest level of post- Secondary education. The Black Community is underrepresented in all key managerial roles within all sectors of the marketplace. We will partner in Educational and job fairs to ensure that Corporate Canada is aware of the trained and skilled workers within the Black Community.
Skills & Trades Workforce
There is a shortage of skilled labour in the Canadian marketplace. The CBCC will promote, educate motivate and encourage Black Canadians to consider this lucrative alternative sector for those who have a passion to acquire the training that drives many sectors such as Construction and the manufacturing sectors.
Technology Research & Development
The CBCC is committed to promoting and being at the center of technology and innovation by attracting and growing companies in software development, financial transactions processing, mobility, internet and network security, telecom, IT, smart grid, digital media and content.
Historically Science and Technology is what ancient Black Civilizations first gave to humanity. Through our continued focus on Technology and R&D, we will nurture aspiring members of the Black Community to pursue their innovative and creative spirits that will foster quantum leaps for the Black Business community and Canada. We will lobby for and assist in the following areas:
- Inspire the Black Community to invent and innovate new products and services
- Participate in exchanging technological information within the Black Diaspora and other markets
- Investment and dedication to information and communications technology(ICT)
- Innovation and protection of intellectual property rights, copyrights, Patents and Trademarks.
- Improve Canada’s Technology productivity which lags behind other countries
- Stimulate research and development and bring new products and services to market
- Use technology to make the Black Business Community and Canada competitive
- Take full advantage of Canada’s Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax incentive program to innovate and grow
The Innovation & Entrepreneurship initiative is focused on working collaboratively to build Black Business innovation capacity. We encourage our Community to dream, create and develop new ideas, technologies, products and processes. Strengthening the innovation ecosystem so the elements required to translate ideas to products and grow businesses are readily accessible will ensure that the CBCC encourage the Black Community to become more High Tech savvy.
The CBCC is committed to growing the clean tech economy by attracting clean tech jobs and promoting best practices as a sustainable community.
The CBCC’s is committed to growing the bioscience industry by focusing on marketing, workforce development, global health, vaccine development, medical devices, clinical trials and venture capital channels.
